Paper Tangent was born from the idea that stationery can be both art and story. The name itself reflects this vision: like a tangent, our work branches beyond the expected, taking paper into new and imaginative directions. Each piece is designed to spark conversation and carry meaning, blending storytelling with fine art. Rooted in a background of precision and craftsmanship yet guided by creativity and whimsy, Paper Tangent creates more than paper goods; we create heirlooms that embody your story.

Hello, I’m Niki!

I founded Paper Tangent in 2012 with a vision to blend fine art and storytelling through wedding paper design and hand-painted signage. I received a BFA in Fine Art from the School of Art Institute of Chicago (Painting, Sculpture & History) and soon after spent five years working with luxury wedding planners in St. Louis (Cosmopolitan events❤️) before launching my own design studio.

I have a passion for fine art, history, architecture, heirlooms, and botany, and love to bring these elements into my clients’ design. I would be honored to create a meaningful keepsake for you to enjoy for years to come.
