Hello, I’m Niki.

I earned my Bachelors in Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and have spent the past 20 years building a multifaceted creative life, collaborating with luxury wedding planners, directing a Montessori school for a number of years (a whole story in itself), raising two wonderful kids, crafting cocktails as a bartender (so fun), and serving a wide range of clients through my studio, Paper Tangent.

Now settled among the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, I’ve returned to working full-time as an artist, focusing on fine art, surface design, and new creative work shaped by years of experience in both the art and design worlds. I’m deeply inspired by art history, interiors, gardens, heirlooms, food, and the natural world, and I love translating those influences into meaningful artwork meant to be lived with, collected, and cherished.

It was an honor to serve wonderful couples and leading planners throughout the years. This chapter of Paper Tangent has now come to a close, and this site remains as an archive of that work.
